Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between 10W30 and 20W40?
The numbers are viscosity grades. 10W-30 is thinner and flows more easily on cold starts; 20W-40 is thicker and suits warmer Indian conditions and most everyday bikes. Always use the grade recommended in your owner's manual.
What do SL and SN mean?
SL and SN are API service grades. SN is a newer specification than SL, with updated engine protection. Both are suitable 4T bike oils — choose the grade your manufacturer specifies.
Which grade should I use for my bike?
Check your owner's manual or service book for the recommended viscosity (e.g. 20W-40) and API grade. When in doubt, 20W-40 SN suits most modern Indian 4-stroke bikes.
Is this suitable for all bikes?
myTVS 4T oil is for 4-stroke motorcycles and scooters. It is not for 2-stroke engines (which need 2T oil). Confirm the correct grade with your owner's manual.
How often should I change engine oil?
Most bike manufacturers recommend an oil change every 3,000–5,000 km, or as per your service schedule. Check your owner's manual for the exact interval.
What pack size should I buy?
Pick the pack size that matches your bike's oil capacity (commonly 0.8–1 L). Your owner's manual lists the exact quantity needed for an oil change.
