An invisible shield for the paint you value.

Paint Protection Film is a high-performance, multi-layered urethane film. It sits over your factory paint and takes the damage instead — stone chips on the highway, trolley scratches in the car park, bird droppings, tree sap and UV. The film is clear, so the car still looks like the car.

Aftercare

PPF is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. A few habits keep the film clear and the warranty valid.

Do

Wash with a pH-neutral shampoo
Use clean microfibre cloths only
Remove bird droppings and tree sap promptly

Do not

Use harsh chemicals or solvent cleaners
Machine polish or compound the film
Aim a high-pressure jet at the film edges

Follow your installer’s curing and first-wash guidance — the film needs a few days to settle before its first wash.

Questions

Before you book.

How long does a PPF job take?

A front kit is usually a day. A full body is a three-to-five day job — the car is stripped down, the film is cut to your model, and it needs time to cure before the first wash. Your studio confirms the exact time when they see the car.

Will PPF change how my car looks?

Clear Gloss is meant to be invisible — it protects the paint and leaves the colour alone. Black Gloss and Clear Matte are the opposite: they are chosen precisely because they change the finish. Both are Silver Shield options.

Do scratches really disappear?

Light surface marks do. The self-healing top coat closes them up with heat — parking in the sun or warm water over the panel is usually enough. A deep cut that goes through the film is a different thing and needs the panel re-filmed.

Is PPF the same as ceramic coating?

No. Ceramic coating is a thin chemical layer that adds gloss and makes the car easier to clean. PPF is a physical film thick enough to stop a stone chip. They do different jobs and many owners have both.

Can the film be removed later?

Yes. An authorised installer removes it without damaging factory paint. That is what the adhesive is engineered for — it holds firmly and lets go cleanly.

What does myTVS PPF cost?
